GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

BlueSky Adventures Terms and Conditions

1. Reservations

Bookings can be made electronically or at our Antigua office. However, they will only be confirmed and accepted once payment for the purchased service is completed and the relevant form is filled out. Acceptance of the reservation depends on seat availability, and the contract is considered finalized only when the organizer provides written confirmation.

2. Payments

2.1 Terms of Payment

A deposit equivalent to 30% of the tourist package price, as listed on our website, is required. The remaining balance must be paid before the hiking day departure. Upon receiving a booking request, BlueSky Adventures will inform the customer of the total amount due and reserves the right to specify the payment methods.

2.2 Payment Methods

  • During the booking phase on our website, the accepted payment method is PayPal.
  • At our office in Antigua, we accept cash, credit card, and debit card payments.
  • Bank transfers are also an option.

2.3 Additional Costs by Payment Method

The PayPal payment method incurs an additional management cost equal to 4% of the total amount of the services booked. This management cost is non-refundable under any circumstances, even if the reservation and/or service is canceled within the free cancellation terms.

3. Price

The price of the package/tourist service is determined in the contract, based on the information provided on the BlueSky Adventures website. The price consists of:

  • National Park entrance fees.
  • 4 meals.
  • Shuttle service between Antigua and La Soledad Village and vice versa.
  • Cabin accommodation with comfortable 5-inch high mattresses.

4. Non-Refundable Policy

4.1 Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your trip at no cost and receive a full refund if you cancel 48 or more hours before departure (departure time, day one 7:00 AM). Cancellations made less than 48 hours before departure will result in a non-refundable deposit.

4.2 Day Trips Policy

All day trips and tours offered by BlueSky Adventures are subject to availability and may be rescheduled or canceled due to adverse meteorological and/or volcanological conditions. If a trip is canceled due to adverse meteorological and/or volcanological conditions within 24 hours before the hike, the deposit is non-refundable.

4.3 No-Show Policy

If the customer fails to meet the driver within 20 minutes of the agreed time, the reservation will be considered a “no-show” and no reimbursement will be provided.

4.4 Unfinished Hiking Tour Policy

BlueSky Adventures cannot assess the health condition of a participant or determine their ability to partake in any excursion or activity. Therefore, by booking and participating in the excursion or activity, the participant declares, under their responsibility, that they have been informed about the characteristics and difficulties of the excursion. The participant has evaluated that the excursion aligns with their technical skills and physical abilities, has understood and accepted the proposed program, possesses adequate and efficient equipment, and is in a suitable psychophysical condition to undertake the excursion or activity. Additionally, the participant acknowledges the information about the risks (both foreseeable and unforeseeable), the safety measures, the conduct of the excursion or activity, the level of difficulty, and the recommended equipment, and consciously assume all associated risks. For this reason, BlueSky Adventures provides non-refundable services for the price of the tour.

5. Itinerary Modifications

The organizer reserves the right to modify the itinerary and the duration of the excursion due to weather conditions or other factors that could compromise the tour.

6. Responsibility and Release

Participants in excursions or other activities offered by BlueSky Adventures are required to:
